Our Pub

A seafront local with a garden at the back

The Olive Leaf sits on Sea Front, Hayling Island, with the shingle and the Solent directly across the road. Inside is a snug, traditional bar and restaurant. Outside there are benches along the front for the sea air, more seating around the building, and a beer garden at the rear.

It is a popular local with a strong community feel: jazz nights, darts nights and a full calendar of events that reviewers say are extremely well attended. Families are welcome, and so are dogs, sandy paws and all.

The team get named in review after review for friendly, efficient service, and one visitor went as far as praising the cleanest and prettiest pub toilets she had ever seen.

Traditional ales, a proper gin shelf and sea air

The bar carries traditional ales alongside lagers, ciders, wines and a wide shelf of gins and spirits. Cask ale on the pumps has included HSB and Sharp’s Doom Bar, with Guinness, Camden and Amstel on the fonts.
